Managed Services

Someone whose actual job is keeping it running

Managed servers, patching, security maintenance, monitoring, backups, and support — handled continuously rather than when something finally breaks.

Managed Technology Services

Operational work, done continuously

In most organizations, keeping servers patched and backups verified belongs to whoever has time. That works until it does not, and the failure always arrives during the week nobody had time.

Managed Technology Services moves that work to us. Patching, monitoring, backup verification, and support become defined, ongoing work — not someone’s side job.

Seven managed areas

What we manage

Seven areas of ongoing technical management. Scope is agreed per customer, so you know exactly what is covered before anything starts.

Monitoring and troubleshooting

Availability and resource monitoring with alerting, and investigation when something behaves unexpectedly — before it becomes visible to your customers.

Managed servers

Day-to-day administration of your servers — services, storage, access, and configuration — against an agreed baseline rather than ad hoc changes.

Security maintenance

Hardening, access review, certificate renewal, and keeping exposed services current, so the attack surface does not quietly expand over time.

Backup management

Backups scheduled, retained to policy, and periodically test-restored, with the restore procedure documented for the day it is needed.

  1. Scheduled
  2. Retained
  3. Tested
  4. Restorable

Operating system patching

Updates applied on a defined cadence, with a maintenance window agreed in advance so patching never surprises your operation.

Technical support

A defined route to reach us, agreed response expectations, and a record of what was done — for your team and for your auditors.

  1. Request
  2. Investigate
  3. Resolve
  4. Record

Application and infrastructure support

Support that covers the application layer as well as the servers under it, so an issue is not passed between two parties who each blame the other.

Service scope

How managed service is scoped

Every managed arrangement starts with an inventory and an assessment. Remediation is agreed as separate work rather than absorbed silently, and the scope is written down before ongoing management begins.

Agreed before service begins

  • SystemsAn inventory of every system in scope
  • MaintenanceThe maintenance cadence and agreed maintenance windows
  • BackupsBackup schedule, retention period, and restore testing
  • MonitoringWhat monitoring is in place and who is alerted
  • SupportHow to reach us and what response to expect
  • Out of scopeWhat sits outside scope, stated explicitly

Anything outside that scope is quoted, not assumed.

Ongoing operations

One service, three responsibilities

The same team watches your environment, keeps it maintained, and responds when something needs attention.

  1. Observe

    • Monitoring
    • Alerting
    • Investigation
  2. Maintain

    • Patching
    • Security maintenance
    • Backups
  3. Respond

    • Troubleshooting
    • Documented resolution

Questions

Managed Services questions

The things buyers ask before committing. If yours is not here, ask us directly and we will answer it plainly.

Talk to Us
  • No. Taking over an existing environment is normal. We assess its current state first, agree any remediation needed, and then begin ongoing management from a known baseline.

  • Response expectations are agreed per customer and written into the arrangement, because they depend on what the systems do and what an outage costs you. We confirm them before service starts rather than publishing a single figure.

  • It does not have to. Many arrangements sit alongside an internal team, covering the server and infrastructure layer so internal staff can stay on the work specific to your business.

  • Yes. Managed services can cover servers hosted with us, with another provider, or in your own cloud account, provided we have the access needed to do the work.
